“Poor quality and poor design. Poor quality: After a year or so, the tool went out of square. Because of that, one of the two mortise pins won't make a contact with wood in certain situations. Poor design: Because the pin adjuster has a lever on top of the rail, rather than at the end of it, it blocks the sliding part of the gauge from opening up more. So let's say you set the pins for 3/4 chisel and you're cutting a mortise on 3 3/4 board - well, you can't because if you slide it out to that much, to center the pins on the board, you will be also pushing the pin away, making your mortise hole setting wider. I see that this is currently unavailable. Good! Do not stock this anymore please! I could provide pictures too, but looks like there is no such feature for reviews. Thanks”

“The sliding wood portion rocks on the rod. The play in the tool makes it difficult to get accurate measurements. Not sure if I got a bad one or if they are all like this.”
