“I purchase this tool rest and the matching tool post. When I tried to assemble the two together, the post would not screw into the tool rest. Not wanting to force it and to avoid going all the way back to Woodcraft, I determined that the problem was with the tool rest threads. I own a metric tap and die set and ran the appropriate tap through the existing thread. A fair amount of debris came out (looked like paint and metal shavings). The parts easily went together after that. Other than that the tool rest works fine.”
