Not a fan, the only way to get it square is to lock it down and bump it. When you engage the magnets it moves forward and you have to readjust. Would not buy again.

I have just purchased this product and I have used it on one project so far. I did need to use the adjustment screws to get to 90 degrees, but the adjustment was minimal and the magnets seem to hold fine. On the project I used it on, the magnets held as advertised and I was very happy with the outcome. Compared to this, the old fence was not worth the metal it was made of. I am happy with this purchase.

I've used this fence for about a year now and I'm not a fan. When using it on my bandsaw, it has moved as I was feeding stock resulting in more than one ruined part and when used on a drill press I've had more than a few holes drilled in the wrong spot because the fence is drifting as I was applying pressure to the piece to keep it square to the fence. I also agree with a previous reviewer about the fence being out of square and needing to use quite a bit of the length of the adjustment screws to get it square. It is a sturdy fence, but the magnets and the precision could use some work.

The fence came with about 0.100" out of square, nearly an 1/8". Way to much for a 3" tall fence. It seems Carter knows this is an issue so they provide long adjustment screws. Problem is the amount of adjustment required to achieve a 90 deg angle, lifts the fence off the table far enough so the magnets loose about 50% of the holding force. Bottom line the fence moves too easily when adjusted to 90 deg to the table. I now see a number of other reviewers on other web sites with the same problem.

This thing works like a champ. I've been using it to resaw and it works great and you can add an auxiliary fence if needed, but I haven't yet. Great product.
