These clamps are of very poor quality. As you know because you're reading this, parallel clamps are made for precision clamping such as cabinet making and need to hold a 90 degree angle. My other parallel clamps, Jorgenson and Bessy all do this. These are so poorly made with no regard to quality control that the feet on all four of them are way off. And I am not talking just 1 or 2 degrees, maybe like 85 degrees! I'd have to redrill the holes in the bar to try to correct this problem but I think I'll just eat the shipping and return them. Woodcraft should not sell junk like this, no wonder it was on sale!

Purchased these for the Black Friday deal to see what a set of 4 parallel clamps for $100 will get you. Unfortunately upon unboxing all 4 clamp jaws were not parallel. The worst one had a 3/8â€

All four of them arrived loose in a box instead a tightly packaged, but the real issue was that one of the clamps hadn't been properly assembled and had a loose nut inside it. It was tricky to get it disassembled and unjammed and the reassembled again, but after about 30 minutes of fussing with it I finally got it unjammed and in working order again. Otherwise these clamps work about as well as any of this style.

The store did not have these on display so I couldn't see them before I purchased a box of four. The fixed jaw on all 4 clamps was out of square by a significant amount, the plastic body halves did not mate to each other along their seams. Other than that, the moveable jaw stays in place and is square to the spreader bar. The mechanism feels sturdy and can deliver good clamping force (although not parallel) Would be a value if manufactured properly. I will be returning and going to the new version of the Bessy Revos. Too bad the store is an hour from here.
