I am glad I check things before trusting. A 27/64" drill bit is way too big for this pen kit. 13/32" is even slightly too big, but I guess you need room for epoxy.

Great pen ! The look and the feel are superb . I’ve already made a few of these . You don’t have to epoxy on small piece on the top but it’s no big deal . Well worth it

I have been turning pens for over 5 years. Never have I ever so much trouble putting a pen together. Made one, didn't go together. Thought that I had maybe done something wrong. Did another one. Bent my pen press trying to put it together. This is the first thing I have bought from Woodcraft that I have had trouble with. In my opinion, this pen kit is a piece of crap. One star is generous.

I wasted $ on the purchase of two kits (164571). I dont care what kind of pressing tool you use, you will not get the nib and nib adapter pressed together (A and C in the pdf instructions). Assuming there was no way the design could be that flawed, I foolishly wasted another blank on the 2nd kit and found the same problem. We've all made turning and assembly mistakes, but the mistakes related to the kit itself are a bit hard to swallow. If I could give this kit negative zero stars, I would.

I got this kit and followed the instructions to the letter. The assembly was fine, no hiccups or confusing steps. I had the pen two days and the ink tube or the nib started suppressing the ink. So I'd get this sporadic on and off ink flow. VERY frustrating when you're trying to take notes at a meeting or show a potential customer what a great product you have. I probably lost a couple of sales because the ink tube is so shotty. Disappointing to say the least. What good is a pen, if it doesn't write?
