I made 9 of these for groomsmen at a friend's wedding (and one for the groom). They were a big hit. The pocket clip makes this a daily carry knife (and makes the lanyard hole optional). Well made knife with a beautiful Damascus steel blade. Wickedly sharp and with excellent edge retention. Some blades may have a less prominent Damascus pattern. This is a great kit.

I bought a few of these to create some custom gifts for my groomsmen. There is a small cardboard template under the pocket clip. Don't throw this out. You need this to trace the cut out shape on your scales. Get some decent double sided tape or look up how to do the blue tape and CA glue trick. You'll need a couple of standard sized drill bits and a 2.5mm brad point bit. I cut out the scales with a jig saw but a band saw would have been a much better tool for the job. You'll want to drill the holes straight and you need to set the depth so you will want a drill guide or a drill press. Attaching the scales requires some 5 min epoxy. You can put the handle together without the screws if you would rather have a screw free look. Overall, the knife looks fantastic. It comes sharpened but you may want to spend time with a sharpening stone if you want to get it closer to razor sharp. The thumb opener and locking mechanism action work well. If it becomes difficult to work with, adjust your screws with the included torx tool. I recommend getting some small torx bits if you plan to make a few of these. The included tool works but it's less than ideal. I'm very happy with the purchase overall. It's definitely worth every penny.

The knife is excellent in quality and functionality. I have almost completed the kit using deer antler. A 2.5mm and a couple of standard drill bits (I forget the sizes) are necessary. Instructions are great, follow them.
