1. The packaging was as good as Apple computer products come in 2. The sale price $69.99 for this item was outstanding 3. The quality of this table is great.

I agree with others comments about mounting, but that is not a big issue. My real problem is that the replaceable table insert is not flush with the table. It appears that they forgot to account for the laminated surface on the table. There is basically about 1/16" gap between the table and the insert. I called technical support and Roger originally told me that the mounting inserts were to be used for leveling screws. When I told him that the instructions did not support that he did not agree. I then had to explain to him that in order to use these threaded inserts as leveling sites, that you would need an M6 headless screw because the inserts are flush with the surface that the replaceable insert seats. He tried to convince me that you could bring a screw up from the bottom but then the table would not sit flat on your drill press table. His final solution was to level the insert with some layers of tape! I know that at a sale price of $70 this isn't the most expensive table, but not having an easy way to have the insert level with the table is just not acceptable. I need to decide if I return that table or design and build my own leveling method. Not a great design!

There is nothing in the instructions that indicate the size screws to use. They are metric as 'TO from Forest' said. In any event, it's a moot point for me. I recently bought a Nova Voyager drill press and the attachment points are useless to attach this table to it. The holes don't line up in any way. I ended up drilling 3/8" holes halfway through the 1" table (which is easy with the Nova) and put in 1/4" inserts. I have one of those kits of star-knobs and t-slot bolts etc, so I used 2 star-knobs. The other thing is that the table blocks the raise/lower handle for the main table - so I have to loosen 2-star knobs, slide the table forward, raise/lower the table, move the table back and then re-tighten the knobs.

This looked like a simple enough addition to my drill press but the documentation (as little as needed) was poor. There are four small tapped inserts to mount it to your drill press the problem is no where does it tell you what the diameter and threads of those inserts are. They ended up being metric M6 fine thread. All the other hardware for this table is imperial thread. I understand their comment not wanting to give the length of the screws necessary to mount it because every drill press is different but they could have given the other dimensions, saving multiple trips to Lowe's to get the right hardware.

I had a shop built table that I generally liked. But it was heavy and came too close to the height adjustment crank. So when a friend of mine was helping me move the drill press and broke the table, I wasn't terribly upset. So I was looking for a replacement and not having time or inclination to make one, I found this new release from Wood River. For $100, sure, why not. The table is reasonably nice. I prefer a taller fence as that provides something to hold narrow pieces against, so I took the fence I had on my old table and replaced the provided fence. The mounting holes are designed for tables with mounting slots at 90 degrees. I have a Rigid 15" press which has something closer to 120/60 degree slots. I was only able to use 2 of the mounting holes and still get the table somewhat centered, it's slightly rotated. I might be able to get something more square by using other mounting holes. I may revisit this, but it's fine as it is. To use 3 holes, the table is way off-center. So the mounting hole locations and the short fence earned a 1-star deduction.
