“Fair price for what you get! I’ve had this for several years and it works fine. As most Diamond stones do, the coarse side becomes more of a medium cut and the fine side gets more fine! Don’t press overly hard on Diamond stones as you will wear them out very fast if you do! Moderate finger pressure is what you want to use! They are not “perfectly” flat, but you need to understand that it isn’t that critical! If you look at old oil stones from the past many, many of them are dished out, but still work fine! The amount of “ out of flatness” of these stones is very minimal! You only need about an eighth of an inch of your plane blade to be flat (polished) and that will last you a good long time for the average user! The bevel will follow the contour of the stone and will sharpen up just fine! Those whom criticize this stone as being less than perfect really don’t understand the art of sharpening!”

“Good for sharpening small items but not broad tools like planes. Over the length and width it’s not flat.”
