“This hose is EXTREMELY noisy straight out of the box... You will need serious ear protection if you don’t modify the hose in some way like I did. (Details below). I found that changing the pressure/velocity/cfm of the hose will eliminate the noise it makes. I did this by inserting a standard size prescription pill bottle into the hose. I used a forstner bit to drill the bottom of the bottle out (effectively making it a tapered tube). Then I epoxied the lid on and drilled a 3/4” hole in the lid. I also tried just drilling a smaller hole in the bottom of the bottle and not using a lid, but it still made the loud squealing noise, so the “fix” must have something to do with how far away from the end of the hose the air change occurs. It is possible that they sell an attachment for the end of the hose that would also solve this problem, but I didn’t see/buy any attachments for it. Otherwise, the hose is fairly lightweight and flexible, so it works for my needs.”
