Easy to apply. Hardly looks like anything is on the wood. Raised the grain ever so slightly, but a quick "once over " with high grit paper left a clear, smooth finish. Based on my results I was impressed with how smooth and natural the finished looked. Expensive, but worth it!

I have just begun using the satin version of this product on musical instruments. Instructions mention not sanding beyond 220 grit and to quit after two coats. I like that! However, I put two coats on a banjo, and then set it aside for quite a while. When I returned to it I sanded it with 400 grit and added a third coat. No problem with adhesion or curing. I have read of using up to five coats with no curing problems and a better semi-gloss finish. I have just received a can of gloss to try on several new instruments. I expect fine results. I only gave 4 stars because my opinion is still tentative, though so far I like it enough for five stars.

I bought this to finish a small computer base made of spalted maple. This leaves the wood with a slightly darker tone barely noticeable. Fumes can be unpleasant unless well ventilated. Goes on extremely easy. Two coats is all you can put on because the third won't cure. The wood is well protected and looks exactly like nothing has been done to it. Love it.
