“I was warned about the water based version and did what a friend recommended. I opened it up, stirred up all the sediment on the bottom and took it my local paint store. They ran it twice in there shaker. After that it left a great finish. Dries much faster than the oil so in hot climates, it would be hard to work with. However, when applied correctly, it leaves a really nice silky smooth non yellowing finish.”

“I think I can sum up this finish in two wordsâ€”simply awful. There were yellow solids resembling cheese curd in the can that would not emulsify after minutes of stirring with a power stirrer. To clean out the solids, I ran the finish through a paint filter and then tested it on a sample of walnut. It came out nice-looking, but I'm not going through the hassle againâ€”I'll stick with oil-based products.”
