After a year of using this, I believe you’re better off without it. The reason is this is essentially a vacuum cleaner with an intake side and an exhaust side. You mount it near the ceiling next to a long wall in the shop, according to instructions, preferably near a tool that generates dust, so clean air exhausts along the long wall to create an air circulation along the walls of the shop. In theory, the circulation keeps bringing dust around to the intake side where the filter catches it. It does that, however the clean air exhaust circulation also distributes uncaptured fine dust all over the shop, where it drops out of the circulation into every nook and cranny where the circulating air gets to, even into places nowhere near the tools that generate the dust. It’s like having an ordinary fan running in the shop; the fan blows dust everywhere. This air cleaner would not be helpful unless it can be ducted to vent into air outside the shop. Additionally, removing the filters to clean them is quite difficult when mounted high up near the ceiling. The same dust distribution problem happens with exhaust blowing from shop vacs, except to a lesser extent because they aren’t operating continuously.

Works well enough, been running for a few weeks now. Even though my space is very small, with low ceilings, might have to get another. Its quite a workhorse(cleaned the outer filter with a blower several times over now)

This filter is amazing! I have a small shop tucked away in a kick in my garage. My wife had been complaining about dust on her car. Now no more dust! I run on high while I am working and then on medium for one after I clean up using the timer. Three speeds with timer or not. Controlled by a remote control. This has to be good for my lungs as well.

So far I have unpacked it and am in the process of deciding how to integrate it into my small shop. I think this will be a good air cleaning asset complementing my shop vac collection system.

Have a small basement shop. Needed to replace an old JET unit. Perfect size and low noise level.
