“I have had this machine for about 20 years and it has never failed me. It is used to sharpen turning tools, carving tools, and knives frustrating at times because I forget to resurface the wheel with the diamond stone. Would like to purchase a smaller one like the Tormac T4 but just cannot make the jump because the Jet just keeps on running.”

“I read good reviews for this product. It ships directly from the manufacturer and clearly they are not testing this product before it is shipped. I plugged in the sharpener and the honing wheel was out of true and squeaking/ scraping. Customer Service at JPW Industries was very helpful and sent me a replacement honing wheel, which did the same thing- scraping and wobbling off-center. Again JPW customer service were very helpful and sent me a whole new machine, which did the same thing yet again- the honing wheel was running out of true and the honing surface wobbling back and forth. After a lot of careful inspection I saw that the rubber drive wheel was actually dented and this uneven surface was throwing everything off. On the plus side it's now working, and it's a versatile sharpening system. On the minus side it's not very well made. A lot of components are functional but not very well made- some of the plastic adjustment knobs are loose already. Buyer beware.”
