“The blade is flat ground and thin profile, an excellent cutting profile. The Damascus pattern is as pictured and consistent across the four kits I’ve ordered. The metal work comes preassembled and feels solid. Only need to make a pair of scales and mount with the included shoulder screws. Order the matching stepped drill bit if you don’t have one. The blade lock release is well done. I don’t agree with the other reviewer who found it unsafe. On all four of mine, it is fine.”

“This is a handy little knife. It is sharp and slips easily into a pocket. My problem with it is the blade release mechanism. The little serrated area that unlocks the blade is tucked so deeply into the handle that it is difficult to get to. You really need to be careful what you are doing or you could cut yourself. The design is poor bordering on unsafe.”
