“I bought this unit after the comparable Jet 8" jointer I ordered ended being backordered for another 60-90 days. The jointer came crated and almost entirely assembled, so getting it set up was quite easy. The only difficulty was converting it to run on 230V, and that was because of tight quarters in both the switch box and changing the leads in the motor. This jointer replaced a 6" open stand Jet unit with straight knives. The difference between the two is extraordinary, as it should be. I face jointed fours sides of a piece of hard maple I had in my stock pile and all sides came out square and glass smooth. If you can afford something like this and have the room, it's well worth the money.”

“Ran a couple of 8/4 walnut scraps through after getting it set up and I was impressed. It made the boards flat. In my opinion it ran very quietly. Last, the dust collection was excellent. Very pleased at first impression.”
