“A bit tricky to get the holes lined up on a table top drill press. Had to do one at a time. With a little effort it came out great and works really well.”

“The hardware is tolerable enough in quality but the maple is nowhere near being S2S... Between the two pieces, the side closest to being finished had about an .088" difference from one side to the other. Other surfaces were worse, and some gouge from a planer exceeding .100". I did expect to have to finish the maple, but it definitely was not S2S.”

“Overall a great kit to build a moxon vise. The maple was S2S and slightly oversized for the final dimensions. All hardware was included and setup well. Borrowed a table saw and drill press to get the critical cuts and holes aligned. Took the extra steps to cut in the hex nuts on the inside of the fixed jaw, added springs, and bushings (Rob Cosman upgrades). Finished with Osmo wood wax oil and a cork/rubber lining on the moving jaw.”
