Very good quality and hefty. Pretty quiet also. It replaces my Spine Rite 3 1/4 which finally had to go to the graveyard.

I look at these reviews and i'm thoroughly surprised. Maybe I just purchased the exception to what seems to be the rule here. I've had my machines for about five years now. It is mounted a jessem table and lift. turn the time i've had this motor i've used it for production work. Creating five piece doors, moldings., raise panels. Created numerous datas, round overs, tongue and groove panels and on rare occasions even used it as a joiner. At this point i've had absolutely zero problems with this piece of equipment. It scares me to read these reviews because it makes me think that it is a ticking time bomb and it's only a matter of time before it goes bad. However, I'm not really worried because as hard as I have pushed this machine. if was gonna go bad it would have happened already. Maybe I got mine when quality control was still really good. I don't know, it just surprises me to see so many negative reviews. I could use a shaper and I still prefer to use this machine. In my router table for a lot of the work.

I bought this router 2 years ago. I used it probably a total of 10 hours in 2 years. Worked well until the bearings seized. Very disappointed in the quality. Many forums talking about the same problem. Woodcraft should not offer such junk.

We purchased this router a year ago and have 3 warranty replacements in that time. It lived in a router table and was used 15 minutes a day as a light chamfer router. I hate to use words like 'absolute garbage,' but this piece of equipment is absolute garbage. I really miss the old Porter Cable 3 1/4 hp workhorse... so sad it was discontinued.

I purchased this ~10 months ago primarily for raised panels. Over the past 10 months, I've really used it kind of sparingly since I'm just a hobbyist, maybe 3-4 raised panels, plus some other stuff, rounding or chamfering edges, that kind of thing. I noticed yesterday what I'm thinking are the bearings wearing out. This was observed while removing material for a tray. Love the soft start and the power, but I am disappointed with the life. That said, I'm sure it will crap out and I'll have to replace it. So, here I go again looking for something a bit more durable. Yes, this thing has been mounted in a router table for the duration.
