Just buy it, the mechanism, the action of clicking the lead out, the tracing/marking/precision is next to none. I bought it and I've never had any regrets neither I looked back. I didn't start another search for the next pencil, everything about was just right. When I need to use the pencil, it's always there on my apron sheathed and ready to use. When I'm done using it, it's sheathed back properly and cocked based on my preference and it's in the sheath protected and waiting to be used the next time. Truly a proud automatic pencil.

Just what I needed for marking out a project.

So far I like it. Not looking closely I ordered this instead of the longlife because it was on sale, but this works with woodpecker t-squares. Now I have both. Much better than non-refillable mechanical pencils but I haven't had it clog.

I’ve had mi pica pencil for about 2 years now. It’s never failed me, very durable, and always kept sharp with the built in sharpener. This pencil and a marking knife are the only tools I use now to layout lines

I've been using this pencil for a little over a year and I've been really impressed. Smooth operation, tough (dropped it twice off a 10' high deck), and just as convenient as the 3030.

This mechanical pencil uses a solid graphite lead which can easily break off. The fractured lead pieces can jam inside of this pencil and once freed renders the mechanical feed inoperable. The writing utensil is garbage at this point. I purchased 3 of these pencils for gifts, only one works.

I have this in the larger version and this one writes just as well, I'm not disappointed.

I am a hand tool woodworker and I use the Pica .9mm pencil to highlight my marking gauge lines in the light colored woods. The 0.9mm lead is thick enough that it does not break when used and thin enough that it fits into the marking gauge line very nicely.
