I just received the Pow-R-Tek router after an almost two month wait after ordering. I installed it into my JessEm router lift fitted into my cast iron Bench Dog top and cabinet. I installed the two intake hoses, attached the power supply and turned on the power. In spite of how hopeful I was, I was still shocked at how quiet this machine is. Not just slightly quieter than my old school Porter Cable 3.25 hp router, but significantly more quiet. Shockingly more quiet. Now, I confess that I haven’t milled hundreds of cabinet doors yet, so only time will tell if JessEm has corrected previous production flaws, but knowing the JessEm brand reputation, I would be amazed if they hadn’t. I will post an updated review once I’ve got some time in the saddle with this so far, amazing, dare I say, industry changing, router.

I bought this router along with their router table with the Masterlift XL. Upon firing this thing up, it was like the Bugatti of routers, extremely smooth, predictable speed and the lift is by far the finest I've ever used. And I've worn out multiple high dollar lifts from almost every mfg. They finally designed a router to mount upside down in a table, not like every thing else. This thing is just thought out right in every way. I couldn't be happier.

We are on the 3rd one after waiting 3 weeks a piece for exchanging the bad one through Jessem in Canada. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. The motor failed on 1 and the speed control would not hold a consistent speed. It is a known problem but it hasn’t been fixed yet! We are asking for our money back. This isn’t woodcraft’s fault it is a jessem problem.

Like Dennis hays I owned mine for 4 days and it also quit working, i called woodcraft to Exchange it. And was told that I need to deal with JessEm on this. They sent me a label and want me to send it back, this upsets me incredibly. So what’s a guy supposed to do own two of these machines? They say that this is the best of the best but the more these sell and time goes on the more bad reviews I see!

I recently purchased this router and remote switch from Jesse. Within 2 weeks, it quit working. I called Jessem and was told this is a known problem and they asked me to ship back to them-they would send me a free shipping label. I took the label to UPS and they could not accept it because it was an "international" label. I should have bought it through Woodcraft.

Bought this Router today in New Berlin, WI. Talk about an upsell, went in for a collet for my 1.5 hp porter cable and walked out with this. First thing, this will fit in the Kreg lift, though it does require a little modification in two of the #1 series clamp holes. After getting the router into the lift and adjusted, I was right at it, this thing eats wood like it is not even there, 1" lock joint router bit and it goes along like nothing! I will update if there are any problems.
