I bought the 36 inch fence, supports, and feather boards to go with my SawStop Jobsite Saw Pro. I like to set up an MDF sheet over a couple of sawhorses as the out-feed table. So for me, occasional support on the in-feed side was the reason I got the supports. When set up 'Euro' style with the back of the fence stopping just after the cut, the 36 inch fence will give quite a lot of in-feed support. When I first tried the support, I didn't align it properly with the fence but once figured out, my support is pretty square, I think. Using my Starrett combination square and feeler gauges the fence itself is flat to > 0.05 mm, < 0.10 mm (2 - 4 thou) across its width. With the support attached, I get about the same variation from square, which I don't think is bad for a piece of green plastic. My only thing is that when the support is some distance from the table, it really needs to be supported itself with the suggested 2x4 stud. Ideally, something reusable with tunable height.

Great ideas, but worthless. Not square with fence/level with table. (I’ve followed the limited instructions for both the fence ext. (which is otherwise great) and these supports, double-checked instructions, played with all I can (checking fence extension is on table surface, for instance, to try to troubleshoot to make them work (trying to play with positioning due to slop), but still not square to fence and proud of table. Will take quite a bit of fuss to be suitable (purchased a bunch of different uhmw tapes in different thicknesses to try to shim), but not clear that will even work. I’m not wet behind the ears, either. I’ve been woodworking for well over two decades, and I personally tune, service and repair all of my machines, hand tools, etc. I may end up machining my own out of metal or dense q/s wood in the end. Stay away! (I’ve been pleased with other Bow Products, though).
