“Have extensive prior experience with the Turbo Plane, primarily making free-form bowls. The Turbo Scraper is easier to control, less likely to catch & jump, but has significantly slower material removal. It does leave a generally smoother surface than the Turbo Plane but not markedly so. As advertised, it's easier to see what you are doing with the Turbo Scraper. Not sure how long the scraper teeth will last before needing replacement, though rotation looks to be easy to perform and will extend the life of the teeth. I can think of no way to resharpen the teeth. It's easy to resharpen the Turbo Plane with a diamond card. In my opinion I'll stick to the Turbo Plane for most of my work (it's the better value) but may use the Turbo Scraper to clean up the surface prior to sanding or for fine detail carving.”
