“This is a good idea, but it hasn't been executed well. My board is not flat, causing it to rock on the bench. This un-flatness results in the plane 'kicking' when it reaches the top edge. Additionally, the 45-degree board has a registration pin that fits into a corresponding hole in the backing block. However, the pin is not centered in the thickness of the board, which means that the pin and the matching hole do not align when the 45-degree board is flipped for cuts on the left side.”

“Nicely designed and built. Works perfectly. My only wish is that the area on which the plane rides would be a tad wider to better accommodate wider shooting sanders. It’s fine for planes.”

“Built well, does what its intended to do. Been meaning to make my own for a while now but never have the time. Worth the money.”
