“This is my first Woodpecker product and I have to say I’m impressed. I have used seconds PEC products for combination squares and the mechanisms were never very tight even when brand new. My 12” just became unusable so invested in this one. What a difference - about four times what I originally spent on the PEC, but no comparison on the quality of the mechanism and build. Also has the very handy index feature and holes for quick pencil alignment. Would buy again.”

“It's a solid square. Mine came square, that was a relief. It's a stout piece of hardware for sure. The thumb flick is quit tight and really can't be done with one hand is my only complaint. Maybe with time it will loosen up.”

“I purchased the WP combo square at our local Woodcraft store. Once I got it home, I decided to check it for square just to have confidence in the tool. To my great surprise, it was not square and not even really close. I tried the parallel line test multiple times on different pieces of dimensioned lumber thinking it must be the wood. It was also not square to other squares I have. I returned it to the store where they verified it was indeed not square. Of course, they were as surprised as I was and replaced it. The second one is perfect. It passes the parallel line test and was verified with other squares in the arsenal. This is a great tool, but make sure the first thing you do is verify it is indeed what you expected it to be. One star for the first square. Five stars for the second. One shouldn't have to verify a WP square. I'll be generous and provide four stars.”

“Square, useful as a combo square should be. It is a little hefty as it has a wide blade, but no complaints here.”
