I have yet to use the jig. Mine came minus the button head bolts. After calling Woodcraft I received them promptly. It seems like a very well built and solid unit. Here’s some advice; when assembling, thread the bolts to the locking nuts as far as possible before sliding them into the rails. Believe me, this will save a lot of time.

Works great and solid as a rock. Got it so I could do splines on table saw and router table. Shop made jig I had only worked on table saw. Learned 2 lessons quick then got flawless cuts. 1) use a hold down clamp to secure piece in addition to the included guides. 2) use both hands to guide the cut. 1 to push forward and 1 to push towards fence. It can come away from the fence easily and ruin your cut. Thinking about devising a stop that would fit in the miter slot to sandwich it to the fence. But holding firmly will work.

I have made a few different spline jigs over the years, which have worked fine. I have been eyeing the Woodpeckers spline jig for a while and finally decided to take the plunge. The quality is amazing, as you would expect from a Woodpeckers product. The jig works great for precise, repeatable splines in my boxes and frames. This will definitely be my last spline jig.
