“I bought this to flatten some walnut slabs and it worked great. I also used it to plane up some pine for shop storage projects and it really did a great job. While it's no replacement for a planer, it does a good enough job for my purposes. I used an Amana surfacing bit. I had to sand out a few tracks but it wasn't bad. I love the notches for the adjustable height. Really helps keep dimensions even. I imagine with some more practice I could probably do a decent job of dimensioning lumber.”
