“This is my first bandsaw. After going back and forth on the 10" and 14" Rikon, I caught this Baileigh on sale for $300 and decided to pull the trigger. The saw was delivered the following day and in good condition. You need to attach the legs and the table, but the saw is pretty much ready to cut out of the box. I was worried a 10" 0.5hp saw may be underpowered, but it's been able to cut 5" thick cherry without any issues. It stalled once going through some walnut, but I was pushing to quickly and after slowing down it went right through. It's also surprisingly quiet. Much less noise compared to my SawStop table saw and DeWalt Miter saw. Overall, very happy with my purchase.”

“This is the first bandsaw I have ever owned. Bought this on sale for $300. For that price you can't go wrong for a hobbyist. I could have given it 4 stars due to the online description of a 15 amp motor, which really is no surprise that at this price it wasn't going to be a 2 hp motor. It has a 1/2 hp motor. This is made in China. For comparison it is basically the same as a Jet JWB-10 except the Jet only has a 4" cutting height and a WEN 10" open stand bandsaw, or a Grizzly G0948 10" bandsaw. I wouldn't pay full price for this as the others I mentioned are at the same price point as what I purchased it for. Take your pick they are all basically the same saw. At least when I have friends over, they will be impressed that I've got a Bailegh Industrial bandsaw. The saw itself is pre-assembled, blade installed and pre-adjusted. You will have to attach the table and assemble the open stand. First cut was perfect.”
