This is a great box joint jig. You can't go wrong with any Jessem tool. The initial setup and learning the jig takes a little time, but after that, your solid and will have minimal time setting it back up for future cuts. I recommend using a stop block to get your proper and not rely on trying to center it as the manual says. Basically, you first set your front to back distance ensuring the bot will not hit your jig on either end. You tighten the short bolts and then you setup your left to right using a stop block between the not and the black index slot. Use either a 1/4", 3/8", or tue 1/2" bot depending on your bot size. Once you do that you will not have a problem hitting the jig. I just made a couple small boxes and they came out perfectly the first try. I didn't use any scrap to test as I knew the setting was solid. Definitely worth the money! I made a few DIY box joint jigs over the years but the end result was always a little "off." Not this one. Perfect right out of the box. Anyone who says this jig doesn't work doesn't know the basics of box joint assembly. You can't go wrong with this jig if you understand how to setup a box joint jig.
