“The five star rating is for the complete Systainer system. Systainers, of course, are made for Festool by Tanos, which offers its own branded versions and inserts. For this application, I combined the empty Festool M137 with the bits insert for 1/4 and 1/2 inch shanks. Thus creating an alternative to Festool's Systainer for D8 and D12 bits. If I had a collection of metric bits for my OF-1400, I would have opted for Festool's OF D8/D12 Systainer instead. When I look at my cluster of Festool tools and accessories in their Systainers, I see order and rationality. I see good design. I can imagine the set of a sci-fi episode. Not so much in the other parts of my workshop. which is a jumbled mess of bags and hard cases.”
