“The hinges worked great for a colonial gateleg table. I did inset them to prevent overlap issues with the table aprons. There were no problems.”

“This hinge is perfect for my drop leaf butterfly table. One extra step to plan on is to make a groove for the knuckle; I used a round nose bit in the router table. Correct alignment is important: Too far in and the joint will bind; too far out and you'll see a big gap when the leaf is down. Assuming you used a 1/2" quarter round bit, this works out to 15/32" from the edge of the table to the center of the hinge.”
