“I bought this about 10 months ago and have put it through the paces. There's good and bad. First the negative... And this I've seen on other reviews, but the fence is terrible for this price point. On mine the face is slightly concave, not dead flat as it should be. Positioning it is very awkward as you have to lift and pull it into position. Once you get it where you want, and verified that it's 90 degrees to the tables, locking it in will pull it out of square to the table. So to get square, you have to estimate how much it will move when you lock it down and add that angle. Frustrating. With that said though, the tables are flat and it does a good job. I've thrown many different species at it and it takes whatever i feed it. Machine marks are minimal from the helical head. At the end of the day, it does it's job and does it well. I just REALLY wish they'd scrap that fence and come up with something better.”

“Since the other review was about shipping, I had to write one that is actually about the machine. This thing is truly awesome! I was going to save a few bucks and get the 6" but after talking with many professionals I decided to 'buy once, cry once' and go for the 8" helical head. Boy and I glad I did as most of the rough sawn wood that I have purchased has been just about 7"-8" in width. That means I would have had to rip every board in half, joint it, then put glue it back if needed and I really didn't want that hassle. The unit came in 2 crates which were very heavy and you definitely need another strong person for lifting the bed onto the motor housing. Once I got it all put together, it was pretty darn co-planer out of the box. Of course I had to adjust the fence a bit to get it perfectly square, and I check it every time before use, and its still square. I do recommend having this hooked up to a dust collector with the 4" port. I initially had this hooked up to my shop vac through a cyclone, but that bucket would fill fast and it was hard to keep up with the amount of shavings, and I keep it pretty limited. A world of difference with my new Shop Fox dust collector. As for shipping, no problems at all.”

“Woodcraft puts machines like this on their site as in stock. Once you order u never recieve shipping info. Call them up and it's late august delivery and webpage is changed to out of stock. Now they're saying early September. Why sell something that you know your company cant get. Woodcraft is sitting on 2300 of my hard earned dollars and who knows when I'll get jointer. Customers service completely blew me off after they had my money by the way. Complete joke of a company”
