“Iâ€™ve tried the bench top models and like you was trying to save money with a lower HP option. After extensive research reading everything in review of the hollow chisel mortiser da over the last 20 years I bought this model. The first time I put a high quality 1 inch chisel in there for furniture making it was clear this machine was well worth the little extra investment. I can now do large or small projects and have a far superior clamp w quick clamp options to hold down the work. Likdd we others suggest get the powermatic high quality chisels as they make a huge difference. If youâ€™re building any sort of pieces that require multiple mortises Iâ€™d recommend this. No jigs no waste of time. This machine far surpassed expectations.”

“I have a Powermatic table saw and this 719T mortiser is my second tool from this company. Powermatic has demonstrated a lack of care in both of my dealings with them. The base of the table saw I ordered was damaged upon delivery and the base of this tool was damaged as well. Powermatic is a company that ships directly to the customer, so when you purchase from Woodcraft, it is Powermatic or JPW Industries as they are officially known who fulfills the order. They use terrible quality pallets that aren't standard sizes. In addition, the quality of their packing material is poor. The base was shipped with no packing material whatsoever. The base was simply slid inside of a cardboard box. Of course it was dented upon delivery so have to now sit here on hold in order in order to deal with apathetic support staff who are understaffed and make everything difficult in order to have a replacement base sent wasting my time and thus money. Buy used.”
