“I really hate doing this but as a first-time customer, I wish I had a better experience. The box was undamaged from transit however, after opening the box and inspecting my product I could very easily tell that someone gave me either the very top or bottom piece on the pallet because the board was excessively damaged by the strap holding the pallet together. My board has notches throughout the full length of the board with splinters extruding out of the face at each notch and there is a large black stain from something made of rubber that had rubbed so hard it melted onto my board and there were several chips on one end of the board. I am at a loss because I know I can either go through the trouble of returning the product and hope that someone takes better care in selecting a board that is not clearly damaged before shipping it or go through the headache of running it through a planer in hopes that I can fix it but now my 3/4" board will need to be at least 5/8". I was really hoping to make many more future purchases for lumber but this is a little too extreeme. I have one more piece on back order and that may be the deciding factor if I ever return for future purchases. Please do better!”

“Ordered five pieces of purpleheart. The color between the boards was very different. Left out in sun to see if the lighter boards would darker but the two of the pieces have almost white stripes running through them. If you want to purchase this item I would recommend going to the store because what they ship you will likely result in some unusable boards.”

“Ordered 5 boards, two of the three boards are almost white in color instead of purple. Left in the sun for a couple of days to see if it just needed to to darker and now looks worse - stripes of purple and white. While I understand wood is a natural product and color will vary some, I have used a lot of purple heart and what I received was an inferior grade for sure. Probably okay to buy in store when you can pick out your boards but don't buy online as they will send you low grade boards.”
