“I used this to finish butcher block counter tops for our kitchen about 8 months ago, and I am SO happy with it. I'm a beginner with little to no experience finishing/staining who watched way too many YouTube videos, and I have three kids and a husband who are very hard on our countertops. I almost gave up on butcherblock completely because I thought they would destroy them, but decided to give Water Lox a try. It was super easy to apply, I did 4 coats applied with lint free rags, with a quick sand before the last one to smooth out the surface, and I buffed the last layer with a brown paper bag. They still looks like it did the day we installed them. My kids even spilled dragonfruit smoothie on the counter last night and didnt clean it up. It wiped up this morning without damaging or staining at all. Only downsides were how strong the fumes are when applying, and the time it took to let dry between layers. Just make sure you have the recommended respirator and a well ventilated work area that you can leave set up for several days.”
