Made about 5 passes on the jointer and it just stopped working. Now will not come on. I guess now I have to haul it somewhere to get worked on.

This is a real POS. The blade can't be adjusted, it's set way to low and takes a really, really small cut. Then it breaks. They folks at Jet were pretty nice, but they sent me the wrong things. I gave up after using it once. Don't touch this thing with a 10 foot pole.

If I could rate it less then one star I would. The thickness planer adjustments are a complete joke - the really poorly made plastic "lock down" handle stripped off the tightening nut the first time I used it. Now there is no way to set the thickness to a specific number - you literally have to guess. As to the "joiner" - what a complete joke. The two hold down bolts that keep the dust/safety cover in place - which is required or the joiner will not run - immediately stripped out also (and no, I"m not clumsy at all) so now I have to use a golf tee to push down the safety switch to get the unit to run at all. Total piece of garbage that you should avoid like ebola.
