I'm very pleased with the precision of this lift. It replaces a Triton router that was mounted in a homemade table using its built-in lift feature. The Mast R Lift moves up and down significantly more precisely than the Triton, giving me more control positioning bits. I did have some of the difficulty with the leveling set screws that other reviewers mention but it was not a major issue. No issue either with the crank handle fitting into the lift and lock mechanisms. True, there are no snuggers that the manual mentions, but I was able to lock the plate into position with the provided screws in the four corners, after it was levelled. If performs beautifulty.

Love it. Infinite, precise adjustment of router bit height. Installation in my homemade router table was simple.

Lift makes shop life much easier. Love the metal top plate for flatness and look. Rugged construction. Woodcraft store help was excellent. Downsides: the spindle / crank handle did not fit either cam which is sort of the key to the whole product! Was dismayed to find this ill fit and Jessem is sending a replacement due in a few days. Second, calling the Jessem customer service number sent me to voice mail saying they were on holiday but I called 4 days after the message said they’d be back in office. Two days later I got a return call. Third, the Installation Guide clearly states that “snuggers” are provided. I looked for >30 minutes for those which would have been really helpful for my table. The CS Rep said “yeah we used to supply a them but don’t anymore and we thought we discontinued that version of the Instruction Guide 6 months ago”. More dismay. Fourthly (as another review mentioned) the leveling screw taps on this unit were poorly machined thus were so tight I not only had to add an extension lever to the Allen wrench to get them to budge, I nearly broke the Allen wrench having to use so much torque. Not on just one but ~8 of ten of them. I am sure I will enjoy the unit as this has been in my wish list for years. But a bit dismayed at how the hype about Jessem robust design and manufacture fell short just out of the box. If half stars were allowed I’d give 3.5.

It’s an excellent lift. The function is smooth and the scale is accurate. The plate is flat, and the lift easily accommodated my 4.2 inch diameter motor. The chief drawback was the taps for the inset leveling screws—the screw threads poorly matched the taps, to the point of being unusable. Fortunately, my table included its own leveling screws that were properly matched to the table tappings. Also disappointing was the need to file the plating from the tip of the hex crank to permit it to fit the lift and lock receptacles.

Extremely easy set up, with the new snuggers built into the plate. Fits 7518 router out of the box, no adjustments. Bought this as emergency replacement for my 12 year old model when the threads on the brass backlash nut wore completely away and the router dropped all the way down. Replacement nuts on order, still available from JessEm. JessEm does not give any guidance about the need to check the wear on that part.
