Great resaw blade for my Laguna 18BX, and consistent sharpening available directly through Laguna for a reasonable cost. I'll first say that the finish from any bandsaw blade will not be perfect or glue ready. It also depends on the setup of the saw and getting things fine tuned. If I don't have the drift set correctly on my fence, I run into all sorts of issues, especially when I'm resawing at the maximum height of 16 inches for my saw. When I have everything set correctly, it is impressive how well this blade cuts through 16 inches of oak for me, and softer woods are even easier. The longevity of the blade on a single sharpening is also impressive to me, though it will definitely vary per person and the type and volume of cutting. I actually keep multiple resaw king blades on hand so that when I send one out to be sharpened, I put another one on and keep going. I typically last around 8 months or so on a sharpening of intermittent hobby use. For me, it has a gradual loss in sharpness, and what usually happens is it gradually requires more force to feed the wood into the cut. It also tends to drift unpredictably when it needs to be sharpened. I do like that it is easy to send back to Laguna for sharpening, though sometimes it takes upwards of 3 weeks or so to get back - another reason to have multiple blades on hand. One of my blades I've sharpened at least 3 times already. Make sure your saw can handle not only the width of the blade, but can also tension the blade. I like to have mine set to around 30 kpsi.

The other reviewer with his condescending superior knowledge of bandsaws without knowing anything about the other reviewer should focus on his own experience and not the experience of others. I’ve placed many blades on my Laguna 18BX and cut everything from softwoods to hardwoods, mostly ripping cuts. The Resaw King has the worst cut surface of all the blades I’ve ever used. That’s a fact and if Woodcraft allowed photos to be uploaded, I’d prove it. Don’t believe the plants that post fake reviews. Head over to Amazon and check the reviews there for more consumer experiences.

The blade is only one piece of the puzzle. You must consider application, cut radius, wood density and thickness, etc... also, you must have the right saw that is properly tuned. I can testify to the quality of this blade and it’s claims of smooth cuts with minimal waist so long as you have everything properly attuned for the right applications.
