I never should've bought this thing. I was debating between this and the festool rotex and I should've definitely chose the festool. First off, this is more my 2nd sander of the same model. The first was returned because I figured something was wrong on the orbit pattern gearing. Nope. This one does the same thing. When it changes its orbit to the wider pattern, it jumps all over, REALLY hard. Harder and more violently than any other sander I've ever used before. It's absolutely impossible to control and will ruin every project you use it on. It leaves horrible swirl marks because of its very odd orbital pattern and the dust collection (even with a vacuum attached) is horrible at best. Bosch requires you to pay shipping on any warranties and after I was on the phone with them for over 4 hours, they found nothing wrong, and decided to just leave it in its box. Do yourself a favor and just go with the rotex. This model is very dangerous!
