Worth every penny. I got this and a PCS in lieu of the CNS model because this base allows me to move the saw in any direction. I have a small space and it makes an enormous difference being able to pull it directly away from the wall and rotate it into place in the center of the work area (and even position it on an angle for working larger pieces). The PCS/CNS mobile bases are too much "parallel park" for me. Getting the saw into the base was surprisingly not-difficult (not easy, but doable with one person and some ingenuity). Plenty of forum posts on the Internet about how to do this. SawStop recommends at least four people, but unless you're extremely well-connected or have a studio with helpers on-hand, good luck. Definitely worth the extra money if you can swing it.

I bought the industrial cabinet saw mobile base with a new Sawstop pcs after I saw it at the store. I installed it on the saw while getting it out of the packaging and it made the rest of the setup of the saw much easier because I could move the saw with it easily in any direction. I bought the saw with the 52” rip fence and the base does a nice job lifting that off the ground with the rest of the saw so once it was fully assembled I can move the saw really easily if I want to shift it or clean around it. It’s easy to lift the saw with a few light foot pumps and setting it down is also easy. It is made really well so I expect it will last a long time in my shop
