“I can't be the only one with a little box saw that is using 2 1/2" dust collection. I bought 2 of these pieces and 2 of the 4" to 2 1/2" funnel adapters, 163445. The 4" side of the funnel adapter does not slide into the plate fitting. It would have been too long anyway. I ended up cutting the downspout off the plate adapter flush with an oscillating tool and chopped the 4" end of funnel adapter off at about 1/8-1/4" from the flange. Then I sanded on the hole in the plate adapter with my spindle sander until I could persuade/force the funnel adapter into the plate. I used a combination of ABS glue and Titebond Quick and Thick to attach the parts together, and clamped them. That one is for my 8" Craftsman, now the other for the 10" Ryobi at my daughter's house”
