“I tried this product even though I was happy with similar products sold at Home Depot for much less, mainly because the owner of the local Woodcraft recommended it for my project. I was asked by my son to build him a shadow box coffee table for his retirement from the Coast Guard. I quickly realized that the Home Depot version is good for some things, but if you want a professional quality finish on something built for a lifetime then there is not comparison. The quality and clarity of this finish is far superior.”

“As an amateur woodworker I’m always looking for finishes that are easy to apply, levels nicely, is easy to clean up after and looks great. This fills the bill. Just applied to a white oak project. Just sanded to 150, and three coats later it looks great.”

“We use the HP Varnish Water Based finish on all of our cabinets. Easy to apply and clean up with warm water. We're currently working on our maple cabinets and this is our second gallon. Holds up well, very durable by the fact that if you use the nitrile gloves, it will not come off the gloves. So I assume it will stick even better to the cabinets. Doesn't leave or show any residue! Great product.”
