“This machine is so bad I was almost relieved when the motor burned out after just a few projects. Nothing on it worked. Not the workpiece hold-downs, not the depth stop, nothing. You will notice only the Rikon has the two-axis sliding table. The more expensive machines do not. The two-axis sliding table is an idea that simply doesn't function. It quickly got jammed with wood chips. Nothing I could do to clean or lubricate worked out. Buy a machine without the sliding table (that is, all the other machines) and move the workpiece by hand. It takes a tenth the time as long, even if the table weren't jammed as mine was. I'm not one to complain or to give bad reviews. Sometimes one simply must.”
