“I bought one of these a few years ago. Quality of the product is poor at best. The motor after a whilc fades in and out. Very noisy. Very noisy. The back rest for the 42" belt while square is not square to the belt. At first I just wrote it off to the cheapness and did not think it would impact my work, but if you are doing fine sanding in corner you can't. Not sure what causes it but lessen the usability of the tool. Very disappointed. Don't see a way to fix it. I guess I should have went for the jet of something more expensive. Get what you pay for and in this case, junk.”

“I recently purchased the Rikon 1x42 belt/disc sander. When the first machine arrived it couldn't be assembled due to missing hardware. I called Rikon and they shipped me what was supposed to be a complete set. It took just over a week to arrive. Parts were missing but between the two incomplete sets I had everything needed. Then I discovered the socket for the Allen screw on the small pulley wheel was striped and couldn't be tightened. Woodcraft customer service was excellent and sent a replacement machine before UPS picked up the first one. The second machine had a problem with the belt tracking control. It was chewing small slivers of metal from the tracking control screw. Again Woodcraft stood behind the product and promptly issued a full return on my money. Don't waste your time with this machine. I will continue to use Woodcraft.”
