“Just taking this out of the box today - my review is related to the package rather than the function. This is my third Laguna tool, and I've been happy with the first two - a Fusion 2 tablesaw and a 18/BX bandsaw. Documentation for these was good. The bandsaw required some assembly, which was well described in the manual. The tablesaw came in a far more pre-assembled state than implied by the manual, and no allignment adjustments were required. The edge sander is an erector set, with no actual directions either for assembly, adjustment, or operation. Wha?? The manual contains instructions for assembling the base, and a parts list. That's it! Thankfully, Jet provides a decent manual for the unit (yes, they are identical - see the parts diagrams in the two manuals). So, at least based on provided information, and the fact that the Laguna and Jet units are identical, I'd check which one is on sale in making a choice, and remember to download the Jet manual if you buy the Laguna.”
