The first one arrived damaged. Poorly packed with a base that was too small for a palate jack. It had fallen over in transit. The replacement came, after two weeks of calling and emailing, intact. I uncrated it from the flimsy crate and started assembling it. Compared to the new SawStop that I recently bought, this thing was clunky with poorly milled parts and terrible instructions. It includes a push stick and instructions on where to mount it, but there is no tap for the mount... But this is my third bandsaw, so I knew what it was supposed to look like and got it working. As soon as I started tuning it, it became apparent that there were manufacturing issues. The bottom thrust bearing is not spring-loaded like the other five. The two wheels are not co-planer. I'll have to deal with that pain before I can make my first cuts. Also, beware that this unit requires four-wire 240-volt power because it has a 120-volt plug on the side. Overall, I will never deal with Woodcraft or Rikon again. Very disappointed.

Purchased this machine a couple days ago and am absolutely happy with how it cuts with little tuning straight out of the box. I'm sure after spending some more time with it, I will get great results. I'm giving it 4 stars because after resawing a log an offcut fell and broke the plastic portion of the crank handle for the table tilt. Probably my fault but it wasn't that big of an offcut and it should break that easy in my opinion. I tested the resaw capacity up to 12" through some really dense wood and it didn't even show signs of slowing down. I've also used the foot brake more than I thought I would and its very nice to have. I would highly recommend this machine to anyone looking to buy a bigger saw for home or professional use.
