I got this bit to flatten some walnut slab and it worked great. It's my first flattening bit so I have nothing to compare it to, other than it did the job I expected.

Excellent choice to flatten end grain cutting boards. Left a nice smooth surface to do finish sanding. I used it with a 3.25 horsepower router at 13,000 RPM.

I do a lot of slab flattening as a retired( carpenter) now full time woodworker. Whiteside is a top level brand and at this price it’s a GREAT DEAL !! Don’t pass this deal up as it does not happen often.

Very effective at flattening logs. Was using a router and handmade sled rather than a CNC, which worked fine even if my arm got tired. Survived eating half a fence nail that was unfortunately found in the log w/o damage. Very impressed.
