I took the Tusk Tenon Wall Shelf with Taylor White at the Boise ID store/makers space. I had a great time in the class and Taylor is an excellent instructor! He is a local artisan and a pleasure to talk to as well as learn from. I was in the inaugural class and it went well. There were some hiccups but Taylor was able to pivot on the fly to deal with and let us all leave with a wonderful project ready for finishing. I gave mine away to a friend as a housewarming gift and she was delighted with it! I am an what I would consider to be an advanced beginner (a contradiction in terms, I know...lol) and was at least familiar with all of the skills we developed or enhanced. Taylor did a fantastic job teaching me new ways of approaching the operations and was fantastic with those folks who were total beginners. I highly recommend taking this class or any class offered by Taylor White and look forward to attending other classes he puts on. The class was held in the Woodcraft sponsored Makers Space that is in the same shopping center as the store and was a large clean facility with everything we needed for the class and a wonderful assortment of tools at the ready for almost anything one would need for a project.

I took the "Hand-Cut Dovetails" with Ken Bangham in the Allentown, PA store. There were 3 of us in the class, and Ken patiently and clearly described the process and steps to create a hand-cut dovetail box. At the end of the class, Ken provided printout of the steps so we could repeat the process in our home shops. The pace was just right for three hobbyists, and Ken ensured that we all completed our tasks before moving on. I need a lot of practice to make straighter hand cuts for the dovetails, but I was very happy with the results from my first attempt. I will finish the box at home, and it will be a gift for my wife for our upcoming anniversary. Thanks Ken for improving my skills.

I took a beginning woodcarving class in Sandy, Utah, with Robb Webster, and it was excellent. The first part of the class dealt with tool sharpening, and that alone was worth the price of admission. The carving portion was a blast, and I took home a project and the skills to do so much more. Robb is an experienced carver and a good instructor. Highly recommend! Thank you, Robb!
