“I thought I was buying a solid block of wood, but it turned out to be many small pieces glued together to make a big block which was then laminated on 4 sides. It wouldn't work for my intended purpose - I found something elsewhere - but I decided to make a spectrum cube for my new niece out of it just to make use of it. It turned out ok, but you can see the unlaminated sides show the glued together pieces, despite sanding it beforehand. I'm hoping a coat of lacquer or varnish will mask that. It's a nice heavy block of wood, just not the solid piece the pictures online represented it to be.”

“I purchased this item with the understanding that it was a one piece, clear and dry cube. Upon receipt of the cube it turned out to be several pieces glued together into a cube. My project requires the cube to be one piece of wood. Is there any chance that such an item is available from Woodpeckers?”

Hi! - in our description of the larger sizes of cubes, we did not write that they are solid - because some are laminate. If you need a sold cube try out our smaller sizes. Have a great day!
