“Overall, this course was a good introduction to basic chainsaw use and maintenance in a safe manner. Videos of a real instructor showing different elements of chainsaw safety might be the best way to show some of the information, but this course was also very helpful.”

“A good basic course which covers the essentials, like chainsaw kickback and general safety. That said, it doesn’t go into any cutting techniques. I think it should at least cover the basics, like felling notches and hinges. Maybe that’s included in the longer course(s), though. Overall, I would recommend this course. At the same time, if essentials plus cutting techniques are covered in a longer course, I’d recommend that one instead. Finally, when choosing a chainsaw safety course, it was important to me to choose a company that is 100% Canadian-owned and operated.”

“Very very basic, it's like proof you've read and understood the manual, basic how to of using a saw. I get my summer helpers to start with this safety training then teach them the basics of limbing, bucking and felling.”
