“We were temporarily using our 4.2KW calor gas heater from our summer house that we have had for over 10 years. Not the best looking heater but even on the lowest setting would heat our living area in no time at all. As the summer house was then not usable now winter is arriving we decided to put the heater back in the summer house and purchase a second heater for our home. After a lot of searching and seeing one being used in a country pub we decided on the Manhattan.
The product is as good as the reviews talk about. Very solid and does what its supposed to do. Heat output is pretty good for just 3.4KW although does clearly take longer on a higher setting to warm up the space compared to our original 4.2KW heater. We are using this heater for our main living area of 44 square meters and so far its doing the job though for 21st Nov in south of England temps are warmer than expected so will see how we get on when temps drop.
The natural flame and log effect is great especially on top setting.
It may end up being an addition to our underfloor heating when freezing conditions arrive but for as long as we can avoid mainstream gas consumption we will.
We are playing the game against the big energy companies and trying our hardest to limit what we require from them.
If supply and demand lean in the favour of the consumer then we may make a difference on what we are being charged.
To conclude a great heater and anyone that has visited our home has been very impressed and even influenced to consider getting a calor gas heater themselves.
