“We needed a drive-away awning to fit a Peugeot Rifter with a rear access kitchen unit, and the Hub Low seemed to fit the bill.
The first time we erected it was by torchlight at 11pm, after a 5hr drive - the fact that it went up quickly and easily is testament to the effective design. It also packed away easily into the original valise. The awning has transformed our camping compared to using our previous non-drive-away awning, by allowing us to leave the camp partially set up while we use the car to explore. Reversing up to & re-connecting to the awning proved easy enough. We have survived heavy rain with no issues, although have yet to test it in strong winds.
The main negative has been that the pegs are poor quality aluminium items which bend easily. However, I generally swap tent pegs out for ones which suit me better in any case, so this is not really an issue. While the main anchor straps which go over the vehicle work well enough, our vehicle has roof rails, which I tied the straps off to, and it would be nice if Vango offered an option of shorter straps to anchor the awning to roof rails/bars.
